SLCapEx Suggestions » Good 'Till Cancelled (GTC) orders Re: Good 'Till Cancelled (GTC) orders |
| It works perfectly well in real life, yes RL exchanges have a lot more volume but if it's a ceiling that means that there's an imbalance between buys and sells which is an overall slant in supply vs demand so it's not necessarily the GTC order's fault that your stock price has hit a ceiling though it would make an easy scapegoat. | ||

JT Financials Discussion » Re-Thinking Daily Interest Payments. Re: Re-Thinking Daily Interest Payments. |
| It wasn't for capex it was for Allenvest back before the buyout of the exchange that I suggested something like this and I was told that to do an hourly calculation or whatever for interest then figure the average based on that (or less time) for each account would take a huge amount of computing power and database space that just isn't worth it, whether that's worth it or not (I won't make that judgement) that is one big concern with doing spaced calculations. | ||

SLCapEx Suggestions » Shorting Shorting |
| My suggestion is to allow shorting of stocks, yes I realize that this is an extremely advanced tactic however if it was put in a way that would warn people that it's an advanced tactic and should be researched before trying (tooltip style warning or something) then I think it would be a very effective trading tool. I'm sure people will also complain that because volume is much lower here than in RL that it could crash stock prices however that's simply not true, A) the only way it works if the actual stock price is going down anyway, and B) It will more than likely be a very small percentage of traders and because of it's risk on a smaller percentage of shares than regular traders which will mitigate any impact it has. |

| Is there a reason why? other than the fear that people who don't understand it could lose their pants trying to use it? | ||

Dragon Global Diversified Public Forum » DGD has acted to minimize LNL exposure. Re: DGD has acted to minimize LNL exposure. |

| Looks more like you're harassing him at this point. I don't see anything (in this post at least) other than allerting his shareholders to a change in his holdings, which as an investment company he's morally and ethically required to do, if not required by capex standards. | ||

SL Capital Exchange Archive » .40 spread this morning & trading halts Re: .40 spread this morning & trading halts |
| Some people are just overly suspicious even when the facts say otherwise, I've looked at the historical stuff on Lindsay and just being associated with a failure shouldn't be held against people who had nothing to do with the failure itself other than being part of the company. Look at me, I was a director at the WSE back near it's beginning (glad I got out of that)... Mael knows that and hasn't held it against me, I don't know why he'd hold this against you Lindsay. | ||

General Investment Discussion » High Yield Deposits? Re: High Yield Deposits? |
| COD's are the better choice though I believe and I'm somewhat disappointed that slcapex chose to use a fluctuating price per share model vs a plain old cod with interest rates varying based on length of deposit which is standard for financial institutions. | ||

General Investment Discussion » New Policy Regarding In-World “Banks” Re: New Policy Regarding In-World “Banks” |
| So do I, but in case of a bank run which is almost assured I've already liquidated and withdrawn from everywhere I can and urge everyone to do the same (which I know will cause a bank run) before it's too late. | ||
