SLCapEx Suggestions » Is there a consensus for valuing treasury shares? Is there a general consensus for valuing treasury shares? Edited by moderator Jul 5th 2008, 02:49 |
|
| Greetings everyone and good morning, I am simply interested in finding out more information on the general format which is used to value treasury shares which appear in the financials of capex listed companies. I am very thankful to be given the opportunity to work with Cayman and to hopefully progress Verballis. Before now I have been an observer of the capex exchange and now that I have the chance be a part of Verballis and its reporting of the monthly financials I would like to ask for some suggestions. Below are some possibilities at how they should be shown in comany financials: Treasury shares valued at 0.01 per share. Treasury shares valued at the price set at IPO. Financials that are reported each Month are an opportunity for the stakeholders to see how the company is running in terms of its assets and liabilities. With this I believe that the reports should show a true and fair value of the company. However, there are some areas which create ambiguity and an element of decision making is required in terms of providing a realistic document which presents the company in the best way possible. I very much look forward to any feedback on this topic. With kind regards to all, firstdesigns Milos. Verballis Translation Services COO |

| Below is the link for the monthly financials for July 2008: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pYW-62lBk4WOpOAEkfZ8KJg&hl=en During July we have seen a positive reaction to our strong marketing methods and after our first full Month under the new stretegies and objectives we are very happy with the progress we are making. The board has had several discussions relating to the issue of a dividend paid to our shareholders this month. We have decided to pay a dividend based on liquid gross profit minus cost of sales but not deducting the marketing costs for this month. This works out at L$13,054.94 being paid to shareholders for the month of July. We feel that providing shareholders with a dividend will help to reinforce how much we value the support of our investors. After the month of July we have secured a logo and several start up costs which will not be incurred within the coming months. We also hope to provide investors with a stable dividend in the coming months that will not hinder our growth potential. We hope that investors understand our intentions and if there are any suggestions or opinions then I am happy for you to discuss them and we will definately take them into consideration. Thank you for your continued support firstdesigns Milos COO - Verballis Translation Services |

Investments and Ideas » MiLOS Designs - Seeking Board of Directors MiLOS Designs - Seeking Board of Directors |
|
| Greetings potential investors and those interested in an existing sl business. In January 2008 I was given the opportunity to takeover a small business, selling shoes and sneakers. I started with 5-8 ranges of sneakers for both male and female. Within the time from January to now I have increased my product range to accommodate for a wider variety and more diverse selection of shoes and sneakers, and I have also acquired rights to products including jewelery, accessories, clothing, skins, tattoos etc. I currently have an open space sim with a half a sim store placed and am in the process of product placement. After a grand opening event I hope confirm the alteration from the previous main store to the new one. New forms of marketing, advertising and general business opportunities will be looked at. I am simply seekings opinions from people who can give any insight into whether MiLOS Designs could be a listed company. With kind regards. firstdesigns Milos |

Those who have know me and who have known me from the very beginning understand how far I have come and for that I want to thank you all. Please feel free to come and take a look around. I can officially say that I am a true competitor to Hoorenbeek with respect :-). Have a great day everything and thankyou for all your support. With the kindest regards, Firstdesigns Milos, aka. General Investment Discussion » SL CAPEX Listed Companies Information (Greater Transparency) Re: SL CAPEX Listed Companies Information (Greater Transparency& |
|
| Dear iV, In reference solely on the subject relating to whether labor costs should be incurred I currently perform the following onto the Income Statement and Balance for MiLOS Designs (please by all means give feedback on my methods as this leads to better efficiency :)). In such instances that I have worked with designers to have products created, textured etc, I have been curious as whether to enter such things as inventory or as development expenditure. For example, a short while ago I commissioned a range of sneakers in a variety of colours to which a total amount was paid to the designer. Now my query would be, "Is this an expense?" or can it be placed on the balance sheet under inventory. I currently use the later, due to the products in which I have had commissioned (should hopefully) provide the business with a return. I think the main problem that arises here is that of depreciation and the determinant of the valuations of these individual products that have been designed. In my extensive research using 9 months of sales transactions I can clearly see that some products sell better than others. If there is any light that can be shed, I would be very grateful. I do apologise for my non-structured text, I am normally like that so hopefully it can be deciphered. With kind regards. firstdesigns Milos |

| iV, Thank you for replying in such a quick manner. Thank you for your understanding in terms of reporting choices made when accounting for such expenses. I fully understand the situation that there is a query relating to inventory within an intangible world, however I feel that the whole query relating to that which similarly arises when accounting for goodwil, when it becomes hard to value something which has been created by a business. During my time in second life I have purchased 3 businesses and all have been purchased in monetary amounts. Now it stands to question what these amounts were determined as. Back to the choice that designers work should be placed under cost of goods sold. My argument would stand that the creation of these products (which will potentially be creating a return for the company) will surely add some sort of value to the company, and in addition if a business was sold then its *inventory* *assets* *intangibles* be taken into consideration. With my company, MiLOS Designs, I already have 8 full months of IS's and BS's and I have used the inventory method I have mentioned. I would be happy to email a copy to you for you overlook if you wish. I continue to add my appologies for the non-refinement of my messages. I guess it does show readers my thought processes :P Thoughts? Milos. |
