Liquidity and Value
Being a small shareholder of just over 700,000 shares of this exchange, a sim owner and a working person, like most of us here. I have come to this exchange in the belief that this exchange has the better product. The thing this exchange lacks is liquidity. I feel no matter how well the product is, if it does sell then the product is inferior. The exchange is selling the product of cash flow, investment, and growth within this virtual economy. Without investors, traders and spectators, the market will fail to sell its product. We need more people here, so when the situations like LNL this past week happens, there is enough power for the exchange to level off the trading and the ability to maintain shareholder value. When a large portion of a company stock is dropped on the market, it should be absorbed by investors that have adequate information to make moves on opportunity. But the investor needs to be there. If there is no investors in the market, then someone (exchange or Company) needs to come to the plate, to enrich and service the investors that hold their investment within the company.

This exchange reputation has been tarnished by the actions of the LNL dump. This bothers me being a shareholder. To know that the exchange is doing way to little in the form of bring in people to trade, invest or speculate. The officers of the exchange need to put everything forward to increase the amount of investors, traders, and speculators in the market If it is either doing classes in trading for the newbies coming aboard, or if it is out selling the benefits to other exchange traded companies, bring in not only the choices of different companies on the exchange, but also bring in the major shareholders that trade the equities of those companies. As any market, competition is good, increases fair market price, value and choice. We need to get there!

Re: Liquidity and Value
Market makers are a good move, but along with the "true investor" look for liquidity in the stock that is going to be traded. This is very important spot for the day traders to increase volume, increases liquidity, who wants to hold a major portion of a company, when the stocks are trading low volumes.

Re: Liquidity and Value
Maelstrom, the key job of the exchange is to match buyers to sellers, that is what I was taught in school, at least. If you had any care of yur investors and want them to stay with you, you can always support your stock when their is too many shares on the market, that is your job, and most investors want the companies to do what it takes to support their share value, making them stay longer. There are no rules here other then minor basic rules that doesnt stop an owner of the company to walk, to if you want to show what you are worth, then maintaining the value of the share holder is hat is needed to be done. If I even get the feel that the companies I invest in are not concerned that my value is worth their time the what is the reason for investing in them. No Investor wants to invest in any thing that is a lobster trap, there is always a way in but no way out! Liquidity allows the confidence to raise creating more capital flow. I am not here to make a quick buck, but if you want to not follow the goals that I feel you should, then I am out of there and I will dump the stocks like a hot potatoe, I just dont want a bath in doing so. Lack of liquidity means that as an investor, I dont want to make a market in the stock, beig I am not or dont want to end up holding securities for a lengthy period of time at a opportunity cost to my resources.

SL CapEx Public Forum » A House Divided
A House Divided
Since there is a large difference in opinion as far as the direction of the exchange, “a house divided” situation. When an Officer of the company makes a statement, there is no such thing as his or her opinion. There is a rule that when officers of a company speak their opinion that it represents the opinion of the company they lead or have a major influence in the leadership of the direction of the company. A question arises; How can the leadership take this company, exchange into the future with two totally different views and school of thought are apparent? Here in this world, the ability to form a second person, totally separated from the company can be done, there is an ethical question that will come from it. Maelstrom opinion is in fact an official statement, being he holds a position in the company as an executive officer. I feel his opinions are quite like the old US wire house strategies that believe more to the fact that “a fool is easier parted with his money” then the Fiduciary Responsibility of an executive officer would be accountable for the value of his shares and the interest of his shareholders.

The company may be lead by Investor Allen, but there is RL to consider. When time is tight and Investor Allen is out of the loop; who has the controls to run this company in the right direction? Being the last time I studied basic company formation, the title COO stands for Chief Operating Officer, in less things have changed. As COO, is the position of the daily operations fallen in his hands? So the way I can see this is that the CEO is taking us somewhere and like a sailboat struggles against the wind to make move forward in the direction we all believe he can take us, till that point. This point being where RL takes over and the COO is now in charge, turning the boat 180 degrees and going along with the wind, in a totally different direction, away that I truly believe is wrong from the direction of a fair market. We are the superior exchange our product is a FAIR MARKET, with experience officers that have been doing investments in a highly regulated market in the world. Opinions as expressed by Maelstrom should not be tolerated, by any market out side the barter system, any market that strives to have the better product. Maybe Maelstrom should look for a different more appropriate spot in the company, like a Dollar Broker or a Specialist of securities that can be classified as “Lobster Traps”

Re: Liquidity and Value
In the view that we are going to push the liquidity problem off to the Companies, and the CEOs , then the exchange needs to regulate the amount of shares trading by creating a situation where the companies need to perform at levels on the market, by either supporting, buying back or selling the of the shares. This has been tried many times, even though the by-product has left regulations that are in place as far as the minimum amount the share can trade and the minimum amount of shares that can trade, but when it comes down to it, the exchanges are still pouring dollars into the advertising to bring investors home to roost.

We at the Mercantile Exchange Group, welcome, and. encourage the outside parties to oversee and regulate the markets. We believe in the rights and well-being of all investors that a free and fair market holds. Regulations are and needed evil that maintain honest and ethical practices, and protects that entire arena of investors, from large to small, in the market. We highly applaud Investor Allen and his choice to be a founder in this historical move, which in our belief will stabilize the markets and the economy in such trouble times.

We further believe and hope this is the first step to further regulations in the financial arena, stretching out through SL. Making a more vital and sound foundation to the economy. The SL economy that has not reached it limits and that has so much further to expand.

We support the open elections, of the executive boards that will have further fiduciary responsibilities and accountability to the shareholders. That will have real life circumstances, for those that will not support the agreements, understands and fiduciary responsibilities. We support the large investor limitations of trading of the individual equities, volumes and reporting.

We support Shareholders list, within restrictions in a way to open up communications between all investor, small and large.

We support regulation and stand behind a fair and honest market, public information and statements. We support accountability and the limitation of trading with unfair non-public information. We support limitation of those who are close to or have the means to have knowledge of insider information, the reporting of the shares trading and a delayed release of insider purchases and sales, of equities they hold. We further support regulation on the timeliness of the releasing of information.

Our hats are off to you Investor Allen for a great direction you are leading us.

Re: WTF? over 1million shares for sale????
Notice to sell the shares in SL CapEx.

Due to the resent low pay-out of the recently paid dividend, after one of the most active times in the exchange and the recent choices of the executive board to not pay a dividend. It is the decision of the Mercantile Exchange Group, the CEO Monmakr Allen and the Executive Board to remove the amount of risk in the exchange.

SL is still very much a venture capital arena and with that understood the dividend pays to maintain that risk. The Mercantile Exchange will change the opinion and return to investing into the exchange when the poor choices of the CapEx Board changes its stance on the dividend policy and the amount of the dividend paid.
