Public Meeting Aug 24th
On Friday August 24th I will have two open meetings for anyone, investors or potential investors, to ask me any questions about Riot Mechs (MECH) and our plans and visions!

Why two? Because I know SL is global and I want to give everyone time to ask me questions.

One meeting will be at 9am SL (PST), the other meeting will be at 7pm SL (PST) on Friday August 24th.

The meetings will be held as open meeting / chat on the main floor of the SL Capital Exchange so that anyone who walks in will be able to take part, making it a truly open meeting.

I look forward to seeing you all there!

Q & A from meeting on 24th
There have been a lot of people who could not make either one of the open meetings and wanted to know what was talked about. I have went through the many hours of talk and listed out each question that was asked (since some were asked 4-5 times over the many hours no need to read 3 hrs of chat logs, lol). For anyone who wants a chat log of the meeting just ask and I can send you one via note card in SL. –ImA (Ryan)

Questions about money & dividends:
___

Q1) When do you expect the dividends to be?

A1) It will take 4-8 weeks after the close date of the IPO to start making money from this project, since it will be 3-4 weeks before we have the 5 fully functioning mechs ready to sell. After that our plans are to do either weekly or bi-weekly dividend payouts.

Q2) What do you expect the dividends to be?

A2) We hope with the huge advertising blitz we are getting ready to launch it will drive up enough interest and awareness of our systems before its launch to give us a decent start. But even at modest #’s. If we rent out the sims even 7.7% of the time we break even. So if we rent the sims out say 10% of the time, have some tourneys, have time with Open Continuous Combat, (all these modes mentioned below under section “Questions about leagues and styles of play”), as well as a small amount of mech sales, we could easily be at or over .05L (5% month returns) for the first month or two.

Within 3-6 months Phase 1alone should reach and break the .10L per month in dividends (10% month) making it one of the better performers on the market.

Q3) Will the dividends be constant?

A3) Combat is on of the few things in SL that is rarely affected by any big changes. Gambling bans, Investment funds (that invest in other companies instead of their own holdings), and land barons are the ones who get hit the hardest by any major changes. No matter what happens to those areas, there is always people who come in and want to shoot things ;)

Q4) How come your including 6 months tier in the IPO price?

A4) Simple reason. I’ve watched to many other companies only save enough for 1-2 months, then when they have a bad month they have to sell the sim or get the sim reposed by SL. There’s nothing worse then spending $1,675us on the sim to buy form SL, then another 2-5K us developing them and building them and scripting them, and then losing it and getting nothing in return.

I fill it is better to have the money on hand to withstand a few slow months just in case. Now, having said that, if we have really strong profits right from the start, and are not using the 6 month reserve, our top 10 shareholders can vote monthly on reducing it or paying some of it back out as dividends. (My vote would be #11 and be deciding vote if a tie)
___

Questions about Timelines:
___

Q1) When could we start buying mechs? When will everything be done?

In order to both speed up the project, and to have high quality samples to show potential investors, I have already paid YEP! to make the first prototypes and to start the devolopement.

However as seen by the size of the IPO, this is a huge task that takes both a lot of time and a lot of money to get it done right, and if I could afford to build it all myself I wouldn’t need to IPO it and give away half the profits :) Most of the projects will be started the same day the IPO is closed and sold out. The timelines below are form the final close date of the IPO.

Have 5 unique and full functioning mechs to start selling: 3-4 weeks

Have 2 sims built. The staging and retail sims & the first combat sim: 2-4 weeks

Total Project time to completion (Phase 1): 5-8 weeks
___

Questions about Mechs & Sims features:
___

Q1) Will parts sustain damage and/or fall off?

A2) Correct. Each mech has custom hand rendered textures for every prim. Each prim will have 2-5 unique textures that reflect varying levels of damage. So as a mech is hit it will actually look like it is getting damaged to people watching!

Q2) How many prims are the mechs? And how many can you have without sim being full?

A2) Both of the prototypes that YEP! has built only needed 100-120 prims since they use top of the line sculpties to get the great shapes & use custom textures to really define the mechs. At only 120 prims, that means you could easily have 8 (about 1000) prims and still have room for 14,000 prims for the sim itself. Since these are not 500 prim mechs made with regular prims, prims will not be a concern as much as scripting or lag and server factors.

Q3) How much will the mechs cost, or tournaments cost, time in sim costs?

A3) We are still deciding the final prices. Usually it is best to finish developing the items, then to do large market tests to see what others are truly willing to pay once they see the final quality. But I can say we have already had people offering to pay 5-10K $L just for the prototypes that are not even fully functioning yet. So it will not be less then 5K, and could be up to 30K if the market warrants it. Also realize we are making 5 unique models, so we can always price one at 5K, and 1 at each price point up to our max, to give all peoples and all budgets a choice of price and features.

As for the combat sim rentals or combat costs, we are still deciding the final prices. But a few ideas are tourney style where everyone buys in to the tourney, we collect a %, then the rest is paid to the final winner. The other style is continues tourney combat, where people pay flat price like 100L when they enter the sim, and they get 90L for every person they kill, can stay in until they die.

Q4) Are these for running around SL also? Or just our combat areas?

A4) Well for several reasons including recovering our investment / development costs, and protecting the source code of our main combat system and web tracking, we will not allow our main combat systems to work on any sim except those we own or sell connected to out server system.

We are open to and probably will sell a set of mechs without our combat system so that others can make/buy their own and use the mechs anywhere in SL. But the actual HUD and stats part of our mechs is exclusive to our sims and our systems.

Q5) How are the weapon systems, add-ons and features going to be on the mechs.

A5) We are obviously still playing with the final items each mech will carry, but I can say each mech will have some unique weapons or features, and they will be balanced. For example if one mech has a rocket that can lock on and hit more often, it will do less damage then a plasma burst that fires straight only on another mech, etc.

we want every mech to be unique, to really build the storylines and encourage people to buy them all

Q6) Any slow charge jump jets? Or flying etc?

A6) Yes. We plan on having flying turned off in the sims. So the mechs will have (depending on the mech or upgrades purchased) some limited boost or jump jet available.

Q7) How big is your Land Parcel for the Arena?

A7) Each combat area will be a full sim in size (64,000m roughly)

Q8) If I lose, will I need to pay fee to repair the mechine?

A9) No. No extra costs once you buy them unless you want to upgrade them. To keep the game play honest, the mechs will take damage during combat, and you will not be able to reset the damage until you leave the combat sim. But once you leave it is free and simply a matter of clicking a button on your combat HUD to repair the mech or set to any preset damage level for showing off :)

___

Questions about web site:
___
Q1) Is the website up and running?

A1) No, It is currently being developed. But as mentioned above a lot of the features will not be started until after the IPO goes through and we have more funding to pay the development costs.

Q2) What will be on the website

A2) Several things. On top of news about products and contests / tourneys, we will also have live stats that players can view and show off! Leader boards, player of the day and weeks etc! If Sl server limits can handle it after each match it would even show stats like hit % by body parts! (example you were hit / or hit them, in the head 15%, left leg 10% etc)

___

Questions about leagues and styles of play:
___

Q1) Will their be leagues? Can we rent the sim?

A1) We are open to any new ideas for ways to play. But here are some ideas we have had as far as how to handle the combat sims usage.

a) Free play open time (gets new customers and gets rentals or sells of mechs)

b) Open Continuous Combat: Each person would pay a flat fee, say $100L as example to enter the combat area. Every time they kill someone they would make 90L (we keep 10L), so as long as they don’t die they can keep making money and stay in.

c) Standard Tourneys: This would have a set amount of players who sign up ahead of time and pay a flat entrance fee. We would keep our % of fees, then the final winner gets the pot.

d) Private rentals: We will rent out the sims to private groups for 1 hr blocks.

e) Leagues: Once we get enough interest, we will start a league for fighters. Also using option #d above anyone can rent the sim and host their own leagues.

___

Concerns:
___

Q1) What about lag? Will your system be able to handle it?

A1) Well we are using YEP! to script most of it, and they are masters at scripting low lag scripts. SO it won’t be about our items handling the lag. It’s more about the overall effect of the scripts or graphics on the server and can the server handle the lag.

YEP! and myself will test the sims over and over to find the best mix of quality of detail vs. what the sim can handle. But to help different styles of game play, by the 2nd phase of Riot Mechs, we plan both interactive and non-interactive sims. So for those that want faster play and more people they can skip the sim interactions.

Q2) Will a lot of people play this?

A2) A very large % of SL is males 18-40, which is also the largest % of customer base for combat games. Also, out of that market, we would have a huge advantage. I know a lot of people (myself included) who as soon as coming in to SL looked for the familiar and tried some combat. Unfortunately most other combat areas in sl are very basic looking and didn’t look like what I was used to, so I quit fighting and started working. I have no doubts that with a professional arena for the first time in SL that’s fully interactive, that it will both retain and draw more people to it then other combat areas.

Q3) There is already a lot of combat games. Why would people play yours?

A3) Well most combat games in SL are not very realistic. Just like any xbox game when you got cheat codes, if you can instant kill or the winner is person with best codes / scripts then the games get old fast.

Not only will all the mechs be balanced and unique, but the interactive-ness with themselves and the sims showing damage or responding to the mechs will be something that has not been done in SL combat before. Especially at the quality of prim and texture level that YEP! will deliver.

Q4) What about griefers or cheaters?

A4) Well our combat system is being scripted very well, although anything can be cracked it should be very reliable for stat tracking and fighting purposes.

Obviously we will have limits in place on the sim like no push etc to stop people form using unconventional scripted weapons, and we will have the sim verify our combat system is being used. But that does not and nothing can stop someone from using their own system or weapons. We will have signs posted and people on site as much as possible, and just like any other game pc or xbox, cheaters will be banned when caught. And since combat systems will be sold and tied to player keys, they could not give it to an alt and keep playing. They would have to buy a new one, so the cost to grief or cheat would be high.

Re: IPO phase ends when?
HI everyone. First let me say i have answered every IM as soon as I log in, which is usually every day. So for those that say i should answer in 24 hrs you can always IM me directly :) Also, I was not aware that people were posting in this forum since we are still in IPO. Now that i know that i will check this every day if i can.

Luv Lusch.

thanks for asking. Most IPOS are either 30 or 60 days ipos. as ours is the biggest avix or SL capex has listed, for sure we are using the 60 day as a guideline. Now I know we have at least one investor who is investing close to 1 million shares, so if we get a few more we could easily sell out all the shares in the 60 days. If we do not sell out in 60 days I will talk to all the investors and to the SL capex exchange to see if enough was sold to start the project anyways, or if people simply want their money back and for us to relist with lower total. But as I stated above, our plan is to sell out completely :)

Isegrim Nikolaidis.

Im not sure who told you to look in the prospectus, I didnt, maybe slcapex? but yeah thats a good place to post it so I will add it today. (I thought slcapex did like WSE and posted the date by the IPO sell page, I was not aware they do not do that for whatever reason? SO i will add it myself)

Paul43 Benelli

Problem is if we ipo only 1/6th of it, thats enough for only a small part of the project. and with on only that small part there wouldnt be enough to sell or enough demand to make people money. So if we did it like that, and made no money, and never sold more shares to expand, then the initial investors would lose money. Its best to do it right the 1st time and build a profitable business form the start. If we dont get enough investors then we can plan another business strategy and relist. But this should sell out.

__

Once again thanks everyone for the good questions. Now that i know people actually use these forums and use ours even though its still an IPO i will check here daily (as long as im by a computer, lol)

SL Capital Exchange Archive » The cost of war
Re: The cost of war
You have some good points to parts of that, let me go through them one at a time :)

Cost of mech:

That is one of the reasons that we are making 5 models. Part of that is for uniquess of weapons, the other part is so that we can have some at different price levels. Those that want the crazy one for 20K can buy it, and those that want a cheaper one for 2-5K etc can buy that also. Keep in mind people pay up to 50us for a game to play online, so 2-5K is like 7-16us to own a mech.

Also, charging for time to fight or charging for open tourneys were only a few options. We will also have free time for anyone to fight for free. SO people would not be in a long term sink. They can buy there mech and play all they want at freeplay sims or times for free.

Continous Tourney Mode (more of it you asked):

For the final plans after the 2nd phase is completed we would have 4 combat sims. With that plan each of the 4 sims would be set to different modes, so one would be for private rentals, one for freeplay, one for continous tourneys etc. that way there is always battles going. If one sim is always busy and one empty , then we would change them of course to suit.

rent to own option:

great idea. and this should be easy for them to add. maybe have a set % of each rental count as credits they can use to buy a mech after so much time has passed.

functions on specific sims:

Well the mechs themselves would work anywhere as far as walking around or wearing them etc etc.

Its only our combat system, the part that tracks damage on buildings, tracks hits or damage on each mech, wins losses etc. Bascailly all teh stats and things that are unique to our combat sims. And thats for security reasons and also so we get rental and usage income from our sims. If we gave others the coding so their sims used our system, then someone could alter or mess with our database and stats etc, which we want to keep accurate. And as for money, why spend this much money to devolope a system, to let other landowners set up teh combat sims and keep the profits from the playing?

now the part that controls the damage and weapons is the HUD. so people can make or buy their own HUD that will allow them to fight or play anywhere else. And on that subject, we also are in talks with several 3rd party devolopers who want to make HUDs for these mechs, so we will sell a select few lines of 3rd party HUDS next to our mechs in a range of prices and features.

Re: Congratulations
thanks :)

its a great thing for all of us who are working on, or investing in, MECH.

one thing I have heard from every CEO I have talked to, is that they all start slow then sell out fast. YEP! for example sold about 600K in 2 weeks. then sold its last 2.4 million in 10 minutes.

ALl it takes is a few people to place large orders and get it to the 50-70% point and the rest should sell out quickly to all the small ivnestors who are holding their money and waiting until the end.

Thanks again Isegrim and to those who are reading this or considering MECH.

let the battle begin!

MECH has sold its first 1 million shares and is on a good pace to complete the IPO in record time for a IPO this size!

We know at least 30+ people who all want to invest but are waiting till its closer to being sold out. Well if all bought it now we could sell out quicker! Get on board and lets get MECH up and running!

__

Also, Im going to have another set of open floor meetings where I will be in the main SL Capex buidling and available for anyone to ask me questions. I will have 3 over the next few days to give everyone a chance to catch me while they are online.

Sunday 2nd. 7pm SL (PST)
Monday 3rd. 9am SL (PST)
Monday 3rd. 9pm SL (PST)

not sure about the interst, and i understand the little people waiting. thats why i was saying once we get a few big ones to get it over the hump the little ones will probably sell it out fast, all those that were waiting :)

and yes, prices of stocks after IPO always go up for a few days why people flip them, then drop for few weeks or month until 1st dividends come out.

But you shouldnt be investing to flip overnight right now, there isnt enough liquidity to flip alot in any market, wse or this one.

lol and as for incentives, thats what dividends are for :)

General Investment Discussion » Sustainability of Large IPOs and other thoughts
Re: Sustainability of Large IPOs and other thoughts
great thread... to answer the part about the large IPOs from a ceo who is doing the largest on SL capex yet :)

i can maybe add a few things.

first, like someone else mentioned, if a IPO that is to large doesnt close, then thats becuase there wasnt enough investors or interest. But how do you know theres not enough investors or interest if you dont try the IPO? not having large ones isnt the answer, they should be listed and the market will decide their fate.

second, as arb pointed out. i have about 30+ investors who all have told me personally they want to invest in MECH. but they are all waiting until its closer to being sold out so there money is not tied up.

IMHO i dont think liquidity or amount of investors is an issue at all, i think if an idea is good enough investors will show up. Its more a matter of people not wanting their money tied up during the large ipos.

_

and arb, for that i have one solution that will not only help IPOS sell faster, but make your market stand out over the rest.

whats the difference if you hold money for IPOs or hold it for interest in your bank?> its in the same account and all. If you gave the people in IPO even a small amount of interest like the bank while its being held in IPO then alot more people would jump in faster. Since at least they are making something while their money is tied up.
