| My only fault was not understanding that I could have moved my deposited lindens into different stocks before I got converted to SLW. I have bought 25000 SLW shares since the conversion expecting to make money in a month. But I'd be lots happier if my original funds were in something other than more SLW shares. Spread the risk around. | ||

SL Wallet Public Forum » SLW buyback today Re: SLW buyback today |
|
| I had bought shares at prices between 0.42 and 0.57. I sold shares at prices from 0.62 and 0.72. I've got the rest of my shares listed a 1.03 and I'm reasonably ahead so far. | ||

General Investment Discussion » SLW buy back Re: SLW buy back |

| The buyback was a pleasant suprise to me. I'd doubled my SLW holding - buying at prices between 0.42 and 0.55. I set sale prices at 0.62, 0.72 and 0.75 which all went thru over the 3-day weekend. I got L$19000 in my account now. I've got my remaining shares for sale at 0.75, 1.02 and 1.03 I've also got some buy orders in at under 0.55. I don't expect to get that order filled but it costs me nothing to try because I expect to end up making a profit even if I never get any shares sold at 1.03. |

| I'm still doing my bit of day trading. Bought 3000 shares at 0.58 last night and have them posted for sale at 0.68. We'll see how long it takes the price to get back there. Have another buy order in at 0.55 but I hope the price doesn't go that low. I've got other sale orders in at 0.75, 0.85, 1.02 and 1.03. Trying to be all prepared for the next unannounced buyback. | ||

| There have only been 6100 shares traded so far today. How am I going to make any money without wild stock price swings? And we need some volume to make those happen. | ||

| I can't figure out what I should do then. I'm not a large investor. About 75,000 shares and L$25000 more I could put in if the time seemed right. I've been buying at 0.50 and selling at 0.60. Sold shares at 0.75 and 0.85 during the 2 buybacks. I've got my sells laddered at prices up to 0.85 then the bulk are at 1.03. This is a strategy that seems appropriate for a stock with a real intrinsic value. It's tougher to figure out what to do with this PoS whose value is dependent on Arb's reputation. | ||

| It would have been so nice if LL had given the banks some warning of their policy. A few banks would have probably closed shop immediately and taken all the funds which is why LL didn't. But if they had then Arb could have put in withdrawal limits of say L$2000/day for a week. Then 1/2 of the depositors would have gotten all their money out and we'd have had that many fewer folks involved in SLW. It wouldn't change the current situation much except that you'd expect that the remaining investors, being bigger ones, would be more sophisticated and we might not have seen the desperation selling at 0.40. I rechecked my Alt's account and it looks like I've got about 92000 shares total. The other account hasn't been an active trader and only has sells in the 0.80s and above 1. I sure hope I'm right and those people that sold to me at 0.42 were not. |

| I looked at the top 10 investor list. None have sold and 4 have added to their positions in the past 2 weeks. Arb bought about 340,000 shares with 3 others adding about 87,000 shares. I have added shares which continues to lower my cost basis. I'll got buy orders for even more (though I'd rather see the stock go back to the 0.65-0.70 range). | ||

SL Wallet Public Forum » No April buy back?? Are we going to get one in May? Re: No April buy back?? Are we going to get one in May? |
|
| I have added L$ to my SLCapex account and bought additional SLW shares but I'm definitely done with doing that. I've got lots more shares than when I started and lowered my cost basis a lot. But I still need to get out at 0.72 cents or so and that's not going to happen without several million shares in a buyback. I look at the top 10 holdings and only 1 has sold any shares and that was only 3% of his holdings. There have been more purchases among that bunch than sales which is a positive sign. |

| Remember that your limit orders expire after 60 days. And Arb has stated that once SLW hits 1.03 he will regard the remaining shareholders as investors by choice. So if you want out you should not set your price above 1.02. | ||
