i have been holding out to see what you were about to do with balances and such. I am sorry but putting my money in stocks gives me no choice but to pull out the money I have as I have never wanted to be part of any stock market. This is hard earned cash of a small business that is trying to make ends meet in SL as well as RL. Please tell me how I can receive all of my balance before it becomes stocks and I lose what I have in the market. I would like an answer before you touch my money and I would like it in plain, non technical terms as you seem to enjoy using. Non technical speech makes for clearer communications with those of us that do not have a background in business.

Answer: Barbie - you have not lost anything yet. One of the misconceptions people have is that once they receive the shares, that they should dump it on the market and get whatever they can for it as soon as they can. Instead, why not sit back and let us put your money to work for you, and see if we can make you more money than you would if we gave you the cash back now.

Re: See, buyback has pushed the price back up L$.20 average
Arb,

as CEO of this company and we, your investors, as we have stock in said company it is not only our right but our duty to ask why. That is the reason you post your meeting notes and now have all things set out so we the stock holders can see. So really you saying not to question you is really not how business work. We aren't employees, we have invested...either happily through buying up others stocks or not so willingly as getting stocks for our balances. You gave us that right instead of making them just IOUs for us to hold on to. If they were just IOUs then we would have no right to question why or how you do things. This is how business works. I have not posted much as this whole mess is terrible and I am sick of waiting and waiting for my money (as others are from the sounds of their posts) though I am not bailing out at a much lower rate then promised. Please remember we can and will be always asking questions.

To those that urge others to keep their sales up at $1.03, I hope that one day we get to see that buy back. I keep mine up there in that hopes. I never wanted to play the stocks but I guess now that I am in it this is how it goes.

Re: A sugestion how Arb could Fair
manuela,

I am in the same boat. I have know clue what half of the things on the page mean. I always had the business mind to keep out of things I don't know about...the stock market is one of them but here I am just awaiting my buy backs. Arb rarely replies to forums, not sure how often he even reads this. When he does reply it is either in language that many people don't understand because again we aren't financial wizards, we are just normal people or he is asking you not to question him about what he is doing. Cash comes on and repeats the same lines 6 lines but does a nice job of changing the words around. Yes, we know...people are working and no one is asking us to sell at below market and yes we know about the term on the no disclosure thing...how about answering the real questions that are actually in the post. No, I am sorry Manuela but they don't seem to come. I am content to just wait it out. The business that I had faultered a lot when I couldn't get my money and I will be damned if I am not going to get my full money back. And no, this doesn't mean I didn't know the risks and blah blah blah about where did I think the money went to get interest on. (those are the other types of answers you will get by the way) It's just sit and wait or allow someone to buy your stocks at too little, too late a price. Will we ever see it. maybe, maybe not. Fair won't come into play until the very end when there are only a few left.

Bo,

though some may fine your tongue in cheek humor rather funny, there are those that are insulted by it and as you seem to be the only one post (with Cash doing a post here or there and sometimes Angi) it really doesn't help anything but get some people rather upset, just as upset as you get. There are plenty here that don't have a grasp on the English language or the rather odd turns that it can take when applied a certain way. And perhaps this is one of my suggestions to improve what is going on. To talk to people like they have no clue as to what the technical stuff all means is better than using the jargon to sound smart. It just reflects poorly on the one saying it. Yes the balance sheet is now explained and rather well if you ignore the color.

It was asked in this post to give suggestions. I won't give suggestions on how things should have been because hind sight is always 20/20.

1. Improve moral - The lack of actual posts from Arb really has be concerning. Sure he is a busy guy running the company but the only posts that I have seen from him lately are the minutes of the meetings. The one time that he posted a while back that was quoted in this thread was at least a month ago. Let's hear from Arb. The lack of the big guy is what makes people nervous. No we don't want him to come out and say "very thing is fine go about your business" and then wave his hand nor do we want to hear "yeah, i f@cked up" something in the middle would be good...like "We are moving forward as best we can, I understand the concern and worry that many of the investors have in the company and we are working on that." Keep us informed. We want to be reassured by the person that we entrusted our personal funds.

2 Separate Stock for SLW - Now this might not work since I have no clue on how the stock works but what I think would be great for both those that want to but into the company and help it go and for those that just want their money back. Create a stock exchange for the actual company. This one was suppose to be IOUs. So what i am thinking is if a stock is bought here in the IOU exchange by someone that probably means that they are wanting to be in the company...take that stock and move it to the company stock...once all the IOU stocks are bought then there will be nothing here and debt is wiped out. There seems to be a lot of stock here that isn't going to go away. like Arbs, Bos, and others that want to stay in the company so they aren't IOUs, they are actual stock. I think that it would help be clearer as to who wants to stay and who is just waiting for the IOU. This also stops people from buying up IOUs that are just hoping for a bigger pay out in the end for themselves. It's a thought and not a really well thought out one but something to the extent may help out stressed out investors and stressed out ex-bankers.

3. A set PR person - any business needs on of these. Public Relations is a huge thing that keep confidence in the company when the head CEO can not make appearances. This person should be tactful, can explain in great detail what is going on, has a honest want to help anyone that wants it, can ignore the name calling and BS that goes on in the website, and is generally someone that can be a good source of information. Really there only needs to be one person for this because too many cooks in the kitchen will spoil the stew. Yes, people put into the bank for greedy reasons but pointing that out really isn't making brownie points with the normal person here. I will say it....i put into the bank to grow interest to help my own company grow but only planned to do so for a few months. I was a month too late in pulling my funds out and the time that I was told before the transfer to stock never allowed me to be on when the cash was available. They kept running out before I was able to get to any location to pull any of it out.

4. People on staff that speak other languages- Let's face it translation to and from other languages can be rough and things can get lost in translation but have a person that has a good sense of the English language (as this is a business set in a country where it's official language is English) and other major languages (I would take a stab at Spanish, Russian, Italian, Japanese, French, and German but a poll of what the customer base does natively speak would pan out what would be needed)

5. Open meetings with stock holders - This was done right at the beginning with a press conference with Arb. I admit I was impressed with the quick action of this and really was taken back that it happened. i think enough months have gone by that another open forum is in call. Something like a town meeting with two or three times so that all time zones can join in. Communication is key.

That is really all i have for now. Please know I have no background what so ever in stocks and the market so if these aren't viable just say they aren't viable. I do however have a large background in business both in SL and RL and many of the suggestions made are from those experiences.

Re: Sugestions for a better future
yeah, thanks for the info on the languages. My first language is English, I was just concerned for others because it does seem that a lot of people that are either confused, repeating themselves, or are not talking here on the forums do not have a grasp of the English language like those of us that are English speaking. I can respect the cost of translators and such. Just a suggestion. it is what it is.

Cheers.

Re: SLW Shareholder's 05/12/2008 Meeting Transcript
First I want to thank Arb for actually answering the questions set out by people. This is exactly one of my suggestions and I think at least see you on the boards replying to posts that is helping people feel that at least you are still here.

My suggestion is actually not to Arb but to the countless others. The thread said that Arb would answer and he is (it's the bold writing at the end of people's posts). So PLEASE don't answer for Arb and what you think he may be thinking. This only confuses and makes it look like he isn't answering, but he is.

This is a step in the positive Arb...keep stepping that way. I had other suggestions in the thread that was already mentioned in this one. It might be worth a look. I HIGHLY suggest the Public Relations one since there are times that the answers we do get that are rather cynical from the people that do work for you only gets people riled up more. There is a long road to rebuilding people's confidence. Keep moving in a positive direction.

SL Wallet Public Forum » Price bottoming out?
Re: Price bottoming out?
I said previously in a post that was for suggestions on how to improve things here was about a PR (public relations) person. Bo, darling, your heart is in the right stop but your comments tend to not be the correct way to go around things. Yes, people are repeating themselves. Yes, there are a ton of negative comments that may or may not be true but with limited information are what people go on. Yes, it gets tiresome. However, a professional, unemotional, constructive response will make customers settled and the on going Bo bashing post would stop. I stand by the suggestion of a Public Relations person, someone inside the company but sorry Bo, you just aren't the man to do it. You try and give answers but your "humor" and stress show through in most of your replies. I am not saying what you are saying is wrong but it does feed into the negativeness on the boards. That isn't what the company needs, more negative feeding into a pool of negative. It only breeds more negative. Positive, clear, open comments are the way to go. It would be honestly great to see Arb on here more (another of the suggestions that I posted in that early post) and I understand he is busy and for a while he was posting and answering people. I applaud him for that.

So Arb, if you read this....please find someone to answer these questions that are in the know of what is going on and that has tact to keep the restless customers (including myself) a bit more happy. Most here have already said that if there were more updates and clear conversations without insults they would be happy with that. Clearly the transcripts of the meetings just aren't enough.

Another thing that I would suggest is going back to that suggestion post and look it over. People post there with good constructive suggestions. If you know someone that can financially help SLW with its problems then post their names there, give them Arb's full name, and get them talking. I have noticed a lot of people offering help to fix things here but not many follow ups. Heck, if I knew more about the financial end of things I would offer my services free of charge in customer care as I have worked at a Fortune 500 customer care service from the floor up to supervisor in the span of a few years. Sadly, I know nothing of stocks and such so this is all a learning experience. I have seen people here who are in the know though.

Sorry for the rant, the supervisor in me took over. I hope that some good comes of this.

Thank you for some plain English on what is going on, the issues, and things that you are already working on. This is something that despite the negativeness of the content is a positive thing. Please continue to do more posts like these and keep the straight forward approach. Thank you again for your honestly!
