SLCapEx Suggestions » History of Stock prices
Re: History of Stock prices
hey amx, if you click on a stock and then "price history" you get a list of prices for the last 30 days. at the bottom of the page it says "download" where you can get even more.

for those that may not have Office installed on the computer that they play this game on, there is a free open source office suite that offers the same functionality. just go to www.openoffice.org. it is not as polished as Office, but it is solid and i believe it is available for multiple operating systems and languages.

SLCapEx Suggestions » IPO process
Re: IPO process
hey strong, sorry, but money in ipo's that have not yet closed do not earn interest. these funds are accumulated to fund a new business, and they tend to sell out quickly, so it doesn't make sense for the bank to pay interest on money that they do not have an opportunity to invest for a reasonable amount of time.

General Investment Discussion » Feedback on the latest SL Capex accouncement
Re: Feedback on the latest SL Capex accouncement
in regards to slcapex's press release, insouciant said: "That means comparitive but not taunting, constructive not combative, informing not manipulative, solid but not sledge-hammering.", as if it was not. i thought it was all of those things, and well written. it ends with arbitrage making a mild statement about being pleased with the results for the period.

the only message i got from it was that capex was an up and coming exchange.

your mileage may vary.

strong, your idea of a basket of currencies may work. another idea would be to measure the linden's value against some universal commodity. frozen orange juice concentrate comes to mind...

Re: My Offer Of Support...
arbitrage has always been a man of his word, and the jtf bank in general has gone out of its way to insure a good experience for the customer. i think that is why jt has such a large and loyal customer base. this stupid decision by LL is a classic example of "throwing the baby out with the bathwater".

it seems that the exchange could remain, i hope that it does.
