Something to think about... | |
| As an investor, I share a lot of concerns about SLW and what it means to myself as well as others. The past couple days has been a bit trying on me and I'm one of the more optimistic traders here. All I can suggest to people is to attend the shareholders meeting next Monday and pay attention to what is being said. Before you go, write up a list of well thought out questions. When the JTF meeting was over, we had an "off the record" discussion about SLW, and brainstormed about how to get something constructive done. (Translation for those of you who only speak troll: Actual ideas to make things better instead of whining and screaming about a falling sky.) There is simply no profit in being unreasonable and impatient. The SLW meeting would be a good time and place to air ideas and find out exactly what hasn't been stated in the past month and to move on from there. I personally believe things can get better, despite what the naysayers have been preaching over and over. Honoris Causa... Silverblade Dagger |

| Good idea Silverblade. But there should be an agenda so ppl can make up their mind what and when they will speak and also what to vote for if that actually will be needed. To throw something at the shareholders whithout letting us have time to thoroughly think through suggestions will only end up in bad decisons and more "whining and bitching". |

| Silverblade I agree with you that the meeting is a good place to ask the questions. I just hope they will be answered better then they where answered in the forum yet. The big question why we do not get any timeframe for the buybacks for example. Not exact dates but i realy don't think it would be demanded to much from Arb to tell us APROXIMATELY when he will give us back the money he owes us. Think of it .. I lent you money and you refuse to tell me then if you will give it back to me in a month or in 10 years? You consider this good and trust building behaviour ? I don't. And the reason for it? that he doesn't want to pay a premium on trading? I think THIS is insulting me because he thinks i am so stupide that i dont see the second part of the sentece "then i better make this profit myself" The people he doesn't want to give the profit to are the people who still trust his word, a declining number in this days. THEY are the people he can make buisenes with when this mess is over so why not give them a profit for trusting his word that he will buy back? THAT is what make people impatient and insultive. I try to keep calm in this but the longer this type of mistreatment of the people Arb owes Money to goes on the more angry i get. That why i opened the thread "suggestion how arb could be fair" because i expected a discussion there with him and finding some ideas. For this i think a forum is much better then a shareholder meeting because people have more time to think about things before they make sugestions and react on his answers. And it is better because everyone interested can take part in the discussion not only the once who can come to the meeting. For me a lot depends on this shareholder meeting. In the moment i am full of doubts if i made the right decision trusting Arbitrage. I hope the meeting will dispel my doubts. Manuela |

Dear Silverblade, You say you are an investor, unlike the rest of us that got tossed into this situation by ARB and without our permission. I'm real curious as to just what it is you think it is you are investing in and why you would invest in this. No one in their right mind would invest in a stock that is nothing but IOU's masqurading as stock. The only ones I see that have any rational reason to buy stock here, is if they can buy it for less then half it's real owed value, in hopes that Arb will buy it from them later at a higher price, which is a heck of a big risk, in and of itself. These aren't investors, in my mind, just opertunist that are taking advantage of the situation that we are in and Arb created. SLW in and of itself, has no value or assets to speak of, to invest in, that anyone has been able to show me. The speadsheet is a sea of red ink, etc. So if you aren't one of the unlucky ones to have ended up in SLW though no choice of our own, just why in the heck did you become an investor in it, and what do you see that we can't see? Boggles my mind???!!! |
